 Stora Enso Cup - SWEDEN-FINLAND GOLF CHALLENGE - Friday, 13 November 2015

FCCJ 78 - SCCJ 81

The 27th Stora Enso Cup, the golf challenge between the Swedish and Finnish Chambers was played on Friday, 13 November at Taiheiyo Club Gotemba West in Shizuoka Prefecture. The event was played very nice and rather warm autumn weather, and with nice colors and Mt. Fuji visible close-by on a number of holes.

The individual winner (best net) was Tatsunosuke Tominaga (FCCJ) with a net 67 (gross 93). Second best net was Sakari Romu (FCCJ), net 70 and with a gross of 78 which was the best of the day. Third best gross was Naota Kusumi (FCCJ), net 74 (gross 93). Tsuyoshi Hirao was the best SCCJ golfer with a net 74 (gross 99) and subsequently he won the SCCJ Autumn Golf Cup.

Second Best gross was Yasuo Aso (SCCJ guest) with 85, third Tomoichi Onishi (FCCJ) with 86.

The winners of the longest drive were Keizo Mori (SCCJ) on No. 9 and Nobuhiko Miyaji (SCCJ) on No. 15.

The near pin winners were: Keizo Mori, SCCJ (no. 4), Tatsunosuke Tominaga, FCCJ (no. 7), Sakari Romu, FCCJ (no. 12) and Stefan Gustafsson, SCCJ (no. 17)

We would like to thank the title sponsor Stora Enso Japan as well as all the players (and their companies) who brought nice prizes to the competition. Our thanks go also to the Taiheiyo Club Gotemba West and their staff for helping us making this a great event at reasonable costs.

Stora Enso also brought a big cake to the party and prize ceremony, celebrating their 40 years in Japan (see images at the bottom of this page).
