  ISSUE 6/2010 25 March 2010
Dear !*TITLE*! !*LASTNAME*!,

As part of the FCCJ's continuing efforts to explore where we've been, where we are, and where we are going in terms of delivering value to FCCJ members, we are currently running a survey to find out the opinions of our members. The Board will use the results from these research efforts to get a better understanding regarding the needs and desires of FCCJ members.

Already about 30% of our members have responded. If you are a member (including those working at member companies) and have not yet voiced your opinion, you still have a chance to do so. I sent an email about the survey on 16 March. If you have not received it, or lost it, email me, and I will send you the link to the survey form.
The dead-line for submission is tomorrow Friday.

News from Finland

Finland's Etla sees rapid GDP growth in 2011-2

The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (Etla) on Wednesday kept its Finnish 2010 gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast unchanged at 1.5 per cent but added that it saw an acceleration to four per cent in 2011.

Etla went on to forecast 3.5-per cent GDP growth in 2012.

By contrast, the Finnish government and central bank said in revised outlooks made public Tuesday that they expected the country's economy to grow by just over two per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively, next year.

Grin of the Week

Financial planning

Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with which to share his fortune.

One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away.

'I may look like just an ordinary man,' he said to her, but in just a few years, my father will die, and I'll inherit $65 million.'

Impressed, the woman obtained his business card.

Three days later, she became his stepmother.

Women are so much better at financial planning than men.
Best regards

Clas G. Bystedt
