  ISSUE 18/2016 8 August 2016;

Dear !*TITLE*! !*LASTNAME*!,

The summer holidays are over and it is back to business for our Finnish friends, but most of the Japanese still have their summer vacations in frot of them with the o'bon approaching. We spent some relaxing time in Europe and usrprisingly, during 11 days in Finland and London, no rain to talk about! Temperatures were also nice, 22-28 degrees, a good break from the sweltering heath in Japan.

We start our autumn season with the traditional Yakatabune cruise, the "Finnair AY4159 - Finn Tour FT4120 Code Share Cruise" on Friday, 26 August. We have only 10 seats left of the 70 available, so sign up soon if you plan to join! Read more below.

On Wednesday, 28 September we will have a Club Evening on the 26th with the theme "Retailing in Japan by Finnish Eyes", details below.

Unfortunately the European team in Mercedes-Benz Cole Haan Cup, played on Friday, 7 October, is fully booked. You could still sign up and be placed on a waiting list in casde we get cancellations. You find more about the event here!

Also this week we have a new contribution from our columnist in "Aoyama View", this time titled: "Fog of uncertainties ahead: Japan, Britain, China and USA, each in their own way".

    The New Scam - WARNING!

    This new scam is being pulled mainly on older men.

    What happens is that when you stop for a red light, a young nude woman comes up and pretends to be washing your windshield. While she is doing this, another person opens your back door and steals anything in the car.

    They are very good at this.

    They got me 7 times Friday and 5 times Saturday. I wasn't able to find them on Sunday.
    Best regards

    Clas G. Bystedt
